SPORTS
"When FEIF was formed in 1969, one of its founding goals was a set of recurring international competitions. The European Championships (first held in 1970 in Aegidienberg, Germany) matured into the World Championships (first held in 1991 in in Norrkoping, Sweden), and the need for uniform competition rules and tests was obvious, as were the training and the examining of the people to judge them."

Important reminder for competition organisers & riders.
Starting April 1, 2025, a new rule is valid to support horse welfare in sport competitions. The Sport Committee reminds all organizers and riders that the number of tests per horse per day is limited as follows:
-
A 5 year old horse may start once per day.
-
A 6 year old horse may start 2 times per day
-
A 7 year old and older horse may start 3 times per day.
Please ensure compliance with these updated rules to prioritize the well-being of the horses.
More information on updated rules and regulations can be found in the FEIF Rules & Regulations
