A Bit About Me

I have been involved with Icelandic horses since 1996 when I bought my very first gelding a beautiful chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. I did sell him to someone with more riding experience than I had when I discovered he had many issues I wasn’t able to deal with then bought three year old Joki.

I have owned my gelding Joki Mori for 24 of his 27 years.  He was from my girlfriends breeding so I have known him all his life.  He is now retired and happily wandering around the isles at Dalewood Stables (JoAnne Chalmers farm) visiting other horses at their paddocks.  He is living his best life and a well deserved retirement.

And I am privileged to own a 15 year old imported mare.  Bot is a dream come true, self confident, with good gaits and the best trail horse.  She is a meant-to-be treasure.
